Is your DJ going to play appropriate music at your Dallas wedding reception?

In this case we can define appropriate two ways:

  1. Is the music purchased and licensed for playback at events?
  2. Is the free of foul language?
First you need a guarantee that the DJ isn't downloading music off of undependable websites.  We've watched video of a father/daughter dance where the song was obviously downloaded that way.  After the first 30 seconds the song quit working.  You could see the hurt on the bride face as she realized what happened.

Just as important, you want to make sure your guests aren't subjected to any inappropriate language.  Can you imagine having your grandmother hearing something as harsh as an F bomb?

Most quality Dallas Wedding DJ's will belong to a subscriptions service that edits, licenses, and guarantee's latests hits, etc.  This is the best way to make sure you have premium quality music playing at your reception.  During your initial consultation, ask your DJ what subscription service they belong to.

The Photo Montage in a Dallas Style wedding

Dallas brides frequently ask Dallas Wedding Planning the best time to present the montage. Usually there are four places in a wedding and reception to do it (let us know if you've found a time you like better).
  1. Before Ceremony
  2. During cocktail hour, usually as a loop
  3. During dinner, as a loop
  4. At end of dinner, as a presentation
Our favorite is at the end of dinner when everyone is tuned in. The best part is the Bride & Groom get to enjoy everyone's reaction.
Your Dallas Wedding DJ should handle all of the audio visual aspects of the presentation.  This can include projector and screen or LCD flat screen monitors on trussing.  Always take into account if the guest sitting furthest away can see the monitor.
